Ronald Mangani Dr Ronald Mangani studied economics, finance and investment at the Universities of Malawi, York and Cape Town, and held visiting scholar positions at the International Monetary Fund Institute and the University of Oxford. Until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Press Corporation Plc, he was an associate professor of economics at the University of Malawi, Chairman of Old Mutual Malawi Limited, and director of First Capital Bank Malawi. He was Secretary to the Treasury of the Government of Malawi between 2014 and 2017. Previously, he also served as an independent director on the boards of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, the Malawi Stock Exchange, the Malawi Development Corporation, and the Malawi Institute of Management, among others. He also sat on the Monetary Policy Committee of the Reserve Bank of Malawi. He is a founding member of the Economics Association of Malawi, a network member of the African Economic Research Consortium of Kenya, and part of the global faculty of the Tanzania-based Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa. In addition to policy-focused research, he has undertaken numerous consultancy and technical advisory assignments for governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations and international development agencies on the continent. He brings to Press Corporation Plc extensive experience in managerial leadership, investment decision-making, financial management, and strategic planning.
Dr. Lyton Chithambo Dr Chithambo was born on 3rd May 1979. He is currently the Acting Chief Executive and General Manager Operations. In this role Dr Chithambo leads the corporate office in its oversight roles of existing investments and the pursuit of new investment opportunities. He has considerable experience in project conceptualisation, implementation and review as well as in managing complex transaction leading to setting up new ventures and exiting others. Prior to this, he served served as Projects Manager for PCL and before that as Group Risk Manager and was ultimately responsible for coordinating various projects and establishing Enterprise Risk Management Structures within the Group. Prior to Joining the Press Group in January 2015, Dr. Chithambo worked as Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at the Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. Prior to relocating to United Kingdom, Dr. Chithambo spent almost a decade at the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) where he rose through the ranks from Examiner in Supervision to Principal Examiner responsible for Financial Institutions supervision. Dr Chithambo holds a PhD in Finance, an MSc in Finance and Risk (with distinction), a B. Com in Accountancy (Merit) and is a Fellow of both ACCA(UK) and Higher Education Academy of United Kingdom.
Moureen Mbeye Moureen Mbeye is a highly experienced, results-oriented finance specialist with over 19 years diverse experience and proven record of success in directing financial operations and management, ensuring continuing business growth and achievement of strategic goals.She is currently the Acting Financial Controller and Company Secretary of Press Corporation plc. Moureen has been working in the PCL Group for over 13 years at both Subsidiary and Corporate Office levels. In her role, she is responsible for all financial management and company secretarial aspects of the company’s operations, providing leadership in the finance and administration department of the company and playing an oversight role on the Group companies’ finance related matters. Prior to this, she served as Head of Management Accounting at Malawi Telecommunications Limited, a subsidiary of PCL responsible for planning, steering and controlling financial performance of the organization. Prior to Joining the Press Group in February 2015, Moureen worked as a Senior Auditor with KCC Finance Associates for 5 years where she performed assurance services entailing planning, execution and reporting.
